Teachers & Staff

Our experienced, dedicated, and caring teachers share a commitment to the Catholic faith and to excellence in education. These individuals, many with advanced degrees and years of experience, have actively chosen to work in a Catholic educational environment. They share a common vision of teaching within a community of trust, respect, and love. The faculty consists of a principal, 15 full time teachers and 6 part-time teachers with an average teaching experience of 15 years. These positions include two science teachers, a math teacher, an art instructor, a music teacher, a Spanish teacher, a technology teacher, a resource specialist and a counselor. 10 hold teaching credentials, and 5 have masters degrees. Additional support staff includes an office manager, finance manager, office aide, six classroom aides, a library coordinator and one part-time extended care personnel.

Father Cyril J. O’Sullivan, a native of Cork, was ordained in 1980 in Ireland for the Archdiocese of San Francisco. He is our present pastor and the dean of Marin Deanery. “Father O” is proud of his Irish heritage. His homilies often recount stories of his faith experiences that are rooted from his culture.

Mr. Pheatt is a proud alumnus of Saint Isabella School. He received his BA degree in Mass Communications from Benedictine College and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Dominican University. He holds a Multiple Subject Credential and Administrative Credential from Dominican University.

Mr. Pheatt has been educating children at Saint Isabella School since 2003. Prior to becoming the Principal of Saint Isabella School in 2018, Mr. Pheatt taught 6th, 7th and 8th grades for 12 years and was Assistant Principal for 5 years. As an administrator, Mr. Pheatt provides steady leadership for students and staff, overseeing academic programs, evaluating staff and working directly with students. Mr. Pheatt has great rapport with faculty, students, and families, and is a true example of Christian service and leadership.

Mrs. Snyder began working at Saint Isabella School in 2016 and her favorite thing about working here is the interaction with students, parents, faculty and staff! Previous to this, she spent many years volunteering with the Miller Creek School District and Terra Linda High School while her two children were students. Her careers have included working at Meadow Country Club as the women’s clothing buyer, doing sales for a jewelry store and catering company and working as a secretary/office manager for medical offices. She loves spending time with her family, especially her 2 granddaughters, camping, golf, animals (she really loves sloths!) and travel!

Mrs. Snyder is always available to answer questions and lend support to all of our wonderful students and parents and is an invaluable part of our admin team.

KATHY FERGUSON

Mrs. Ferguson, or Fergie as affectionately called by parents and staff, started at Saint Isabella School in August of 2002. She had intended to only work here for a short time, but loved the community of students, parents, faculty and staff so much, she decided to stay. Her careers have included being a buyer for Emporium SF and working as a Human Resource Director.

Mrs. Ferguson is the President of the Notre Dame Alumni of San Francisco and is on the board of the Marin Irish Club. She loves both her family and her Saint Isabella School family and is endlessly entertained by the silly and fun stories of the students. She cannot praise the caring hearts of our community enough; some of her best friends are people she met at Saint Isabella School.

Mrs. Naser began working at Saint Isabella School in May of 2018 after serving as Treasurer for the Parent Club Board. She has two sons, one at Marin Catholic High School and one graduating from Saint Isabella School in 2024. Her favorite thing about working here is the sense of community and that the faculty and students feel like her second family. Previous to this she worked as the Finance Manager at CRS Catholic Relief Services in Jerusalem/Palestine. Mrs. Naser loves traveling, camping and organizing and she is a highly valued partner in the school’s financial health!

Mrs. Caputo was born and raised in Marin and has been a member of the Saint Isabella Parish since her childhood. After high school she earned her California Certified Court Reporter license and worked as a court reporter for many years. Later, she went back to school to become a Certified Early Childhood Educator and worked as a preschool teacher for a few years before joining the faculty at Saint Isabella School. Mrs. Caputo loves working in Ms. Zidek’s kindergarten class because it is never boring and she finds it incredibly rewarding to have the opportunity to help shape young minds and guide them through their first official year in school. Mrs. Caputo has 4 children, a daughter in college, a son in high school and two younger sons currently attending Saint Isabella School. Most of her spare time is spent going to her sons’ baseball games, enjoying retail therapy with her daughter and spending time with her two adorable dogs. Mrs. Caputo also enjoys playing Bocce Ball and going to yoga classes.

Mrs. Frey is a Bay Area native, born and raised in San Francisco. She has been the first grade teacher’s aide at Saint Isabella School since 2015. One of her favorite parts of being an aide is seeing the eagerness and enthusiasm of the first graders on their first day of school. She loves to watch as they continue to learn and blossom throughout the school year! Before joining the Saint Isabella School faculty, Mrs. Frey was a preschool teacher for many years. When not at school, she enjoys spending time with her family (both grandsons graduated from Saint Isabella School!), reading and watching football. She loves her Niners and Steelers!

Ms. Epidendio started at Saint Isabella School as a teacher’s aide in 2016. She worked with the kindergarteners until 2021 before moving to the second grade. Ms. Epidendio is a proud Saint Isabella School alum (Class of 1974) and is very happy to be working here. One of her favorite things is to reminisce about her fun memories when she was a student!

Ms. Frannie, as she is affectionately known by her students, adores working as the third grade teacher’s aide at the school, where she gets to support enthusiastic children and witness their academic achievements. Bringing happiness and fun into their learning experience brings her great joy. Ms. Frannie takes pride in fostering a positive environment that helps students thrive and enjoy their time at school.

Mrs. Pass has been the 4th grade teacher’s aide since 2020. She loves the school, the teachers and being with the students. She currently has a daughter in the 3rd grade and a son in the 6th grade. She also has a son who is a freshman at Marin Catholic. Mrs. Pass is a proud Saint Isabella School alum. She went to Dominican College for her teaching credential and Master’s degree. She taught second grade and kindergarten for nine years in San Francisco until she started her family. Mrs. Pass loves spending time with her family, friends and dogs. She enjoys sports and attending her children’s sporting events.

Ms. Thomas is the upper grade teacher’s aide and aftercare helper. She joined the faculty in 2000 and has worked as an aide in all of the grades except Kindergarten. Ms. Thomas and her late husband chose Saint Isabella School for their sons in 1996 because of the sweetness of the student body and the wonderful staff and faculty. Always willing to help when needed, Ms. Thomas continues to make Saint Isabella School and its community a wonderful place for all!
