Saint Isabella School is an integral part of the Saint Isabella Parish community and one of the sixty elementary schools currently under the umbrella of the Archdiocese of San Francisco. Our clergy, faculty, and staff are committed to providing students with a rigorous and enriching academic program. We provide an excellent education and a solid foundation for the spiritual, academic, social, and physical development of the child. Our program challenges students to live their faith in service to the parish and wider community.

Saint Isabella School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, scholarships and financial aid, and athletic and other school-administered programs.

  • How to Apply

    STEP ONE: Schedule Interview and Tour

    Parent tours are offered by appointment only and start at 9am. To schedule a personalized tour please email us at admissions@stisabellaschool.org or call the school office at 415-479-3727.

    STEP TWO: Submit Application Form

    A separate application should be submitted for each child applying.

    Items to be included with the application:
    • Payment of a nonrefundable $100 application fee for each child
    • A copy of the current report card for applicants to grades 1-8
    • Student Evaluation/Recommendation Form for grades K-4
    • The child’s birth certificate for applicants to grades K-8
    • The child’s Baptismal certificate, if applicable

    Application must be completed and submitted before the process of new student testing/screening, interviewing and school visit/shadow day can begin. Payment of the fee does not guarantee admission.

    STEP THREE: Student Visit/Assessment

    Kindergarten: Kindergarten applicants will meet other pre-school children and a team of teachers and administrators for a Playdate. The Playdate is scheduled for mid-January and it will include a time to play, to interact with adults and other children, and to be assessed for Kindergarten readiness.

    Grades 1-8: Applicants for grades 1-8 will be invited to spend a portion of one school day with us. During the course of this shadow visit, a grade level assessment will be taken.

    STEP FOUR: Request for Records

    For students applying to grades K-8, parents will be asked to complete and sign a “Request for Records” document. Provide this form to the student’s current school. It should be completed by the school registrar and submitted directly to Saint Isabella School.

    Applicants to the school are considered for readiness screening and acceptance in the following order:

    • Children of registered, participating members of Saint Isabella Parish
    • Siblings of currently enrolled students
    • Registered members of other parishes
    • Children of other faiths, as well as those not baptized
