Art

Welcome to Art

Each grade level explores art through a variety of grade appropriate mediums, techniques and artists throughout the school year. In addition to introducing students to various artists and art mediums, art is used to create engaging activities that relate to the students’ core subjects. Examples of student art are displayed in the school foyer, allowing for faculty and parent enjoyment of their artistic development. Special attention is paid to festive holiday creations from all grades.

Julie Caputo
JULIE CAPUTO
Art Teacher

Mrs. Caputo was born and raised in Marin and has been a member of the Saint Isabella Parish since her childhood. After high school she earned her California Certified Court Reporter license and worked as a court reporter for many years. Later, she went back to school to become a Certified Early Childhood Educator and worked as a preschool teacher for a few years before joining the faculty at Saint Isabella School. Mrs. Caputo loves working in Ms. Zidek’s kindergarten class because it is never boring and she finds it incredibly rewarding to have the opportunity to help shape young minds and guide them through their first official year in school. Mrs. Caputo has 4 children, a daughter in college, a son in high school and two younger sons currently attending Saint Isabella School. Most of her spare time is spent going to her sons’ baseball games, enjoying retail therapy with her daughter and spending time with her two adorable dogs. Mrs. Caputo also enjoys playing Bocce Ball and going to yoga classes.
